Carved Buddha Face on Cream Leaf Plaque, 7 x 6 Inches

This plaque is a leaf shape carved from wood, 7 inches wide and 6 inches tall. A Buddha face rises from the center, with a topknot, lowered eyes and soft lines, and the veins of the leaf spread outward from it. The finish is a cream color with golden highlights, so the carving looks bright against a dark wall.

The leaf of the bodhi tree is one of the best-known symbols in Buddhist art, since the Buddha sat beneath that tree. This small plaque can hang on a wall by its top edge or lean on a shelf. Dust it with a soft brush and keep it away from damp and from strong direct sun.
