Hand-Carved Wood Crawling Slug, Reddish Brown with Textured Skin, 8 Inches Long

This hand-carved wooden slug is 8 inches long and made in a glossy reddish brown. The back is covered with rows of small raised bumps, the body tapers to a tail, and the little head lifts at the front as if the creature is mid-crawl. It is an odd and cheerful curiosity.

Carvers in Thailand and Laos work animals of every kind, from elephants to the humblest garden dwellers, and a slug is a sure conversation piece. It is a funny gift for a gardener or anyone with a sense of humor. Set it on a shelf or a desk, dust it with a dry cloth and keep it out of damp.

Naree chose it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
