Resin Buddha Statue in Spring Robe, Red, 17 or 33 Inches

This seated resin Buddha has a dark red face and hands, a gold patterned sash across the chest and a gold topknot, and it rests on a tiered base trimmed in gold with red cushion bands and small jewel-like accents. The hands are folded in the lap in the meditation pose. You can choose a 17 inch or a 33 inch statue.

A Buddha image with hands in the lap is the most familiar form in Thai and Lao temples, and many households keep one on a high shelf or altar table so that it sits above eye level. Seasonal robes are a Thai custom, since the most revered Buddha image in the country has its robe changed for each season, and the robe names used on statues like this one follow that tradition.
