12" Benjarong Fruit Bowl – Thai Painted Porcelain

A wide porcelain bowl about 12 inches across, painted in Thailand’s Benjarong style. The well is deep enough for fruit; the rim carries the usual court colors—red, blue, green, yellow, and gold-tone line. That gold is painted decoration on glaze, not a solid-gold bowl.

Benjarong fruit bowls sat on Bangkok tables as both service and display. Twelve inches is the centerpiece size: mango, rambutan, or a pile of citrus under a lamp. Smaller 7- and 8-inch Benjarong pieces in the shop are for one serving; this one is for the middle of the table.

Printed “Asian” punch bowls flatten the border. Painted Benjarong keeps a tighter line and a brighter gold-tone rim.

Hand-wash only. Skip the microwave if gold-tone paint is present. Dry before you store.
