Brown Coconut Disc Necklace

Thin slices of coconut shell, strung into a short necklace. Most slices are a deep brown. A few are lighter, showing the shell's uneven color rather than a dyed red or black. They sit close together and read as a collar on the display.

No inch length is printed, and the clasp is not in the photo. In Indonesia, the hard outer shell of the coconut is cut into buttons and beads and often left this brown. This is that kind of market strand, one necklace.
