This 8-inch Buddhist ceremonial light is molded from plastic in Thailand and finished in a warm yellow that recalls the glow of temple candles. It stands ready for an altar or shelf, adding a quiet point of light during merit-making or evening offerings.
In Thai and Lao homes, a small light or candle beside the Buddha image is a simple daily practice. Naree includes pieces like this among her picks for Uniquely Thai Lao TV, where she talks about bringing temple customs into everyday spaces. The light is light enough to move easily and cleans with a soft dry cloth.
