Burgundy Elephant Kalaga Tapestry with Four Sequin Elephants, 14 x 36 Inches

This kalaga wall hanging measures 14 inches wide by 36 inches tall. It has a burgundy ground with a narrow center panel worked in gold and silver sequins, where four elephants sit one above the other, each framed inside a circle. Three fabric tabs at the top make it easy to hang from a rod or a pair of hooks.

Kalaga is the traditional sequin and bead tapestry of Myanmar, and the craft is admired across Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. The tall, narrow shape fits beside a doorway, in a hallway or between windows. Hang it by the tabs, keep it out of strong sun, dust it gently with a soft dry brush and do not wash it.

Naree chose it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
