Carved Wood Cat Lying Down with Paw Hanging, 8 Inches Long

This cat is carved from solid wood and measures 8 inches from nose to tail. It lies stretched out with one paw hanging down, as if watching from a sofa arm. The photo shows warm orange-brown wood with a black tail, black paws and painted eyes, finished with a gloss.

Thai village carvers make a great many animal figures, and cats are a favorite because the shapes come easily from a single block of wood. Rest the cat on the edge of a shelf or desk so the paw can dangle over it, as the listing suggests. Dust it with a soft cloth and keep it out of damp spots.

Naree picked this one for Uniquely Thai Lao TV as a gift for cat lovers.
