Carved Dolphins Around Seascape

Carved dolphins leap through a seascape in this solid wood sculpture, standing about 39 inches tall. The group of marine figures captures the fluid motion of coastal life, a theme that appears in Thai and Lao woodcarving where the sea and its creatures inspire both art and folklore. Naree has highlighted hand-carved animal groups like this on Uniquely Thai Lao TV as pieces that bring a sense of movement and Southeast Asian coastal heritage into a room. Display it on a sturdy surface where the height can be appreciated; wipe with a dry cloth to keep the wood clear.
