Hand-Painted Wooden Rooster on Dark Stand, Tan and Green, 12 Inches Tall

This rooster is crafted from solid wood and painted by hand, and it stands 12 inches tall on a dark stand. The body is tan and cream with dark green strokes marking the feathers, the tail sweeps up in green, and the comb and wattle are red. The feet are orange and grip the base.

Roosters are a familiar sound at dawn in the countryside of Thailand and Laos, and carved ones are among the most popular wood animals at craft markets. It is a handsome piece for a mantel, a kitchen shelf or an entry table. Dust with a dry cloth and keep it away from damp.
