Carved Wood Fishing Frog Figurine, 4 Inches

A hand-carved wooden frog figurine, 4 inches tall, sitting with a long fishing rod and a small fish on the line. It is painted by hand in warm orange with green feet and accents, the cheerful color style of Thai village carvers.

Frogs are a favorite subject in Thai folk carving and appear in rice-field stories and rain festivals, where their croaking is linked with the coming of the rains. This little angler makes a fun shelf piece, a desk companion, or a gift for someone who loves fishing.

Each figure is carved and painted by hand, so the paint and pose vary a little from the photo. Dust with a soft dry cloth.
