Wooden Cow Letter and Napkin Holder, Painted Flower Base, 10 Inches Long

This hand-crafted wooden holder has a slot for letters, paper or napkins, topped by two standing cows. The cows are carved in a pale natural wood with black patches, and the base is painted black with green leaves and orange flowers along the front. The whole piece is about 10 inches long.

Wooden animals made into useful objects are a popular craft in Thailand and Laos, and cows are a gentle, familiar village animal. Keep it on a kitchen table for napkins, or on a desk for letters and bills. Wipe with a dry cloth and keep it out of damp, since the base is painted.
