Cream Cotton Pillow Case with Gathered Swirl Texture and Corner Fringe, 17 x 18 Inches

This handcrafted pillow case is made of cotton in a soft cream and measures 17 by 18 inches. The front is gathered into rows of small pleats and swirls that catch the light and give the cloth a dimensional, rippled surface. Twisted fringe hangs from two of the corners. It is sold as a case, without a pillow.

Gathered and smocked cotton is a familiar technique in Southeast Asian home textiles, and the plain cream color lets the texture do the work on a sofa or bed. Hand wash gently in cool water and let it air dry, then shake out the pleats to restore the texture.
