This dog is carved from solid wood and sits upright at 16 inches tall. The wood is a warm orange-brown, the ears and paws are painted black, and the open mouth shows a bright red tongue, so he looks as if he is panting after a run. The three photos show him from the front and at an angle.
Thai carvers turn local woods into big animal figures like this one, and a dog this size suits a floor, a hearth or a wide shelf. Dust him with a soft cloth and keep him away from damp floors and from direct sun.
