Sitting Wooden Elephant in a Black Top with Orange Flowers, 4 Inches Tall

This small wooden elephant is 4 inches tall and sits upright, looking straight ahead. The body and trunk are a warm peach-orange, and it wears a black top printed with orange flowers. It is carved and painted by hand, so the paint details vary slightly from piece to piece.

Elephants run through Thai and Lao life, from temple carvings to village festivals, and tiny carved ones are popular desk companions and gifts. The size suits a display with miniature wooden furniture or a crowded shelf, where it adds a bit of humor beside the larger pieces. Dust with a dry cloth and keep it out of damp spots.

Naree picked it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
