Black and Gold Buddha Face Wall Plaque, Facing Left, 5 x 7 Inches

This small rectangular plaque shows the face of the Buddha turned to the left. The face is black with silver flecks, and the topknot above it is worked in gold swirls, the curled hair pattern seen on many Thai images. The plaque measures 5 x 7 inches and works as a wall hanging or leaned on a shelf.

In Thai and Lao homes a Buddha image is placed high, above waist level, as a mark of respect, so a high shelf or wall is the right spot for it. It makes a modest accent piece and a considerate gift. Dust gently with a dry cloth.

Naree chose it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
