A seven-inch cast resin figure of a Thai Buddhist monk seated in meditation. The skin texture is remarkably lifelike, with carefully sculpted folds in the robe and a calm, focused expression. Measured seven inches tall, five and a quarter inches from knee to knee, and five inches deep, it fits neatly on a shelf, desk, or home altar.
In Thailand, temporary ordination is a common way for men to make merit for themselves and their families. A man may enter the monkhood for a day, a few weeks, or a lifetime. This figure captures that tradition of quiet devotion. Naree selected this piece for Uniquely Thai Lao TV as a reminder of the balance between spiritual practice and daily life in Thai and Lao culture.
Display it where you want a sense of stillness. The finish is smooth and the colors subdued, suited to a meditation space or a collector’s shelf.
