- Thai Khean or Pan Flute Man - 6" Tall The khaen (pronounced [kʰɛ̄ːn]) is a Lao mouth organ with bamboo pipes connected to a small, hollowed-out reservoir. It is the national instrument of Laos and was added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2017. The instrument is used by various ethnic groups in Laos, north Vietnam, and Cambodia.
