This bronze gong is 16 inches across and decorated by hand with a dragon design in bright colors. It comes with a padded mallet, and you can choose a gold or a black finish. The photos show two dragons curling around a gold boss in the center, painted over a deep blue ground.
Gongs like this are played in temples and at ceremonies in Thailand and Laos, struck once to mark a moment or in a slow pattern to set the pace of chanting. At 16 inches it is the smallest gong in our range and suits a table stand or a wall hook.
One of Naree's picks on Uniquely Thai Lao TV; a stand is sold separately.
