Red-Finished Hand-Carved Hardwood Posing Lady Statue, 18 Inches Tall

This lady is hand carved from solid Asian hardwood and stands 18 inches tall. She poses with one arm raised and her body in a graceful curve, with her hair swept up, and the figure stands on a rounded base. The wood carries a high gloss red finish that gives the carving a rich, lacquered look.

A pose like this is a favorite with carvers in Thailand, who shape the whole figure from one piece of hardwood. The listing is for one statue, sold individually. Place it on a console, shelf or dresser, dust it with a soft cloth and keep it out of damp and strong sun so the gloss stays even.
