Square Ceramic Incense Dish with Amber Ridged Rim and Center Well, 6 x 6 Inches

This square ceramic dish is 6 inches on each side and holds one stick of incense. The rim is a soft cream with amber glaze combed into ridges along each side. The center well is darker, in brown with a little blue-green, and a short cone in the middle has a hole for the stick. Ash falls into the well.

Burning incense is part of daily life in Thai and Lao homes, shops and temples, and a low dish like this keeps the ash in one place. Set it on a surface that can take heat, let the stick finish, and wipe the dish once it is cool. Never leave burning incense unattended.

Naree picked it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
