Resin Buddha Statue in Spring Robe, Blue, 17 or 33 Inches

This resin Buddha statue sits in the meditation pose with both hands folded in the lap. The face and hands are a deep blue, the robe and sash are patterned in gold, and the statue rests on a tiered gold base with red cushion bands and small red jewel-like accents. It is offered in two sizes, 17 inches and 33 inches tall.

In Thai Buddhist practice a hands-in-lap posture stands for meditation, and statues like this are placed on a home altar or a shelf in the main room, where the family can pay respects. Thailand also has a custom of dressing its most revered Buddha image in a different robe for each season, which is the idea behind the seasonal robe names used for statues of this kind.

The listing is one of Naree's picks for Uniquely Thai Lao TV, and the red version of this statue is sold separately.
