Resin Buddha, Summer Attire, Yellow, 45 Inches

A large seated figure. The body is cast resin, amber and translucent, so the light comes through the arms and the crossed legs. A tall gold crown ends in a point. Gold paint covers the chest, the shoulder points, and the bands at the arms and the wrists, and red dots are set in that paint. The arms below the bands are bare resin. Both hands rest in the lap. The base is red and gold, in tiers, with a gold panel down the front.

The shop calls this the summer robe. That is the jeweled costume, crown included, changed onto the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok for the hot season. This figure is amber resin, not the green image in the temple. The title lists the height at 45 inches, and the page text lists 19 inches from knee to knee. The photograph’s file name says orange and 34 by 22. The picture itself has no ruler. The product record lists 145 pounds.

One statue. Pickup is in Oxnard. Ask before it is shipped. It won't fit in a small box. Dust it. Do not use a solvent, and do not leave the resin in hard sun.
