Round Tan Wooden Box with Crackle Finish and Black Gecko on the Lid

This handcrafted round box is made of wood and finished in tan with a fine crackle, like old glaze. A gecko design covers the lid, painted in black and deep blue with small orange dots along its back, and a band of dark blue runs around the rim of the box. The lid fits over the base.

Geckos are common house guests in Thailand and Laos, where their evening call is a familiar sound. The box is a handy place for jewelry, keys or small keepsakes on a dresser or desk. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from damp. The sources disagree on size, so please judge it from the photo.

Naree chose it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
