Seashell Curtain with Butterfly Design, 26 x 42 Inches

This curtain is made of long strands of small seashells hung from a rod, and measures 26 inches wide by 42 inches long. Colored shells in the center form a butterfly shape against the white strands. It is a decorative piece, not a privacy screen, since there are gaps between the strands.

Shell curtains are a coastal craft in Thailand, hung in doorways and windows so they click and move when the air does. Each one is strung by hand, so the colors and the butterfly will differ from the photo. Hang it from a strong hook, keep it out of rain and wipe the shells gently with a dry cloth.

It is one of Naree's coastal picks on Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
