Blue and Gold Serpent Dragon Figurine, Pressed Wood and Resin, 8 Inches Long

This serpent-style dragon is formed from pressed wood and resin and measures 8 inches long. Its body is painted deep blue with darker scale marks, and a flowing mane of gold and orange runs from the head along the back. The mouth is open to show a red tongue and white teeth, the eyes are red, and four clawed feet in a bronze tone grip the ground as if the dragon is about to move.

Long, curling dragons and the serpent-like naga appear all through Thai and Lao art, from temple roof ends to boat-race prows and festival floats, and a small figure like this brings that look to a desk or a bookshelf. It makes a fun gift for anyone who collects dragons. Dust it with a soft brush and keep it away from heat.

Naree picked it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
