12" Sheet-Metal Fish Sculpture – Indonesian

A fish about 12 inches long, formed from sheet metal in Indonesia (PL-series). The body is cut and shaped from thin plate—fins, eye, and curve beaten in—not carved wood and not a Thai or Lao temple piece.

Island workshops have long made fish from leftover metal because fish mean food, boats, and market days. Hang it on a kitchen wall, lean it on a shelf, or group it with other small metal animals. Painted resin fish are thicker and identical. Sheet metal stays light and shows hammer marks.

Dust dry. Indoor display unless you accept outdoor dulling. Edges are metal—hang where hands will not catch a fin.
