20" Thai Beeswax Ceremonial Candle – Sold Each
A slender beeswax taper about 20 inches long, sold one at a time. The wax is real beeswax from Thailand—not paraffin and not a dyed petroleum stick. It burns with a honey note and a quieter flame than cheap grocery tapers.
In Thai Theravada practice, light on the altar stands for the teaching that cuts through darkness. During Khao Phansa (the rains retreat), laypeople still offer candles so monks can read and chant. Communities once rolled hive wax into long tapers and, in places such as Ubon Ratchathani, into festival candles carried to the wat. A single 20-inch beeswax candle is the household version of that offering: ordination, daily chanting, or a quiet shelf.
Paraffin “ritual” candles often smoke and smell of scent oil. Beeswax holds a cleaner pool and lasts through a longer sit. Trim the wick before each light. Set it in a stable holder. Never leave a flame unattended.
One Thai beeswax candle, twenty inches, for an altar that wants real wax rather than a scented paraffin stick.
