One herbal compress ball, a luk pra kob (ลูกประคบ). Dried herbs are bundled in white cloth and tied with a handle. In a Thai massage the ball is heated with steam and then pressed or rolled on the skin. It is for external use only and is not food.

The listing names turmeric, lemongrass, kaffir lime peel, camphor, menthol, ginger, plai, morinda, shallot, garlic and other herbs, and the bag label lists the full ingredients. No size is printed. Steam the ball for 3 to 5 minutes and do not boil it in water. Test the heat on the inside of your wrist before it touches anyone, and steam it again when it cools. Keep it off broken skin, the eyes and the face. Camphor and menthol can sting, so stop if the skin reacts.

Compress balls are a familiar sight in Thai and Lao massage shops, where they are steamed in a pot beside the massage mat. This one is part of Naree's picks on Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
