10" Thursday Buddha – Cast Bronze Pang Samathi

This is the Thursday image in the Thai weekday set: Pang Samathi (ปางสมาธิ)—the Buddha seated in meditation. Legs crossed, both hands in the lap, palms up, right over left. The pose points to the long sit under the Bodhi tree before awakening.

Height is about 10 inches. The metal is cast bronze from the same A-B-450 line as the other weekday figures. Lost-wax work: wax model, clay mold, wax burned out, bronze poured, mold broken, surface finished. That is why the robe folds and the face stay crisp, and why the statue has weight; resin birthday Buddhas do not.

In Thai and Lao homes, it is common to keep the Buddha of the weekday you were born. In popular custom, Thursday is tied to a calm mind and honest speech. That is household belief, not a promise about health or luck.

Set on an altar, bookcase, or quiet shelf. Dust with a dry cloth. Leave the bronze tone as it is unless you choose to brighten it.

A 10-inch seated bronze for Thursday-born family, or for anyone who wants the classic meditation image at a readable home-altar scale.
