Thai Triangle Pillow and Mat Cover, Red and Pea Green Elephant Pattern, No Filler

This triangle pillow cover has three folding pads and is made in red and pea green, with a band of small white elephants woven across the green sections. It is listed at 3 x 17 x 73 inches. This is the fabric cover only, with no filler inside. You add the filling yourself and sew the closing stitch, so if you want a pillow that is ready to use, choose a listing marked kapok fill.

Elephants are a national symbol of Thailand and show up on fabric of every kind, from market bags to these classic floor cushions. The triangle backrest, known in Thai as mon khwan, pairs with the fold-out pads to make a low seat for reading, watching TV or sitting with friends on the floor. Kapok or buckwheat hulls both work as filling.
