Carved Wood Two Dolphins Leaping on Wave Base, Pale Striped Grain, 16 Inches Tall

This sculpture shows two dolphins jumping, carved from solid wood, and it stands 16 inches tall. One dolphin arcs up above the other, and the pair rise from a rounded wave base. The wood is a pale cream with soft reddish stripes in the grain, and no paint is used, so each carving has its own pattern.

Carved dolphins are a popular subject in Thai coastal craft markets, where the animal is a favorite of beach towns along the gulf. This size stands well on a floor stand, a console or a bathroom shelf. Dust with a soft cloth, and keep it dry so the pale wood stays even.
