Wood Daydream Sleeping Statue, White Finish

This statue is a carved wood figure of a sleeping person, shown with bowed head and long smooth folds that run down the body. The finish is a pale white with a soft sheen. The listing gives no measurements, so please judge the scale from the photo and ask us if size is important.

Wood carving is one of the best-known crafts of Thailand and Laos, and carvers work from teak, rosewood and many local woods into figures like this one. The restful pose makes it a quiet accent for a bedroom shelf, a reading nook or a desk. Dust it with a dry cloth.
