Carved Wood Two Kittens in a Basket, Orange-Brown Kittens, 8 Inches Tall

This solid wood carving shows two kittens sitting side by side in a basket and is 8 inches tall. The kittens are a warm orange-brown with dark eyes and pricked ears, and the basket is finished in blue-grey with a woven pattern carved into the orange base. It is hand crafted, so each piece differs slightly.

Cats have a place in Thai and Lao homes and markets, and carved pairs like this are a popular gift. The pose is cozy and suits a bookshelf, a bedside table or a kitchen windowsill. Dust with a soft cloth and keep it out of damp and direct sun.

Naree chose it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
