Wooden Brown Rooster Figurine with Green Tail, 5.5 Inches Tall

This hand-carved wooden rooster is 5.5 inches tall and has a plump, rounded body. The finish is brown with tan and green shading on the wings, a green tail, a red comb and wattle and orange feet. The rubbed paint gives it a worn, folk-art look, and the shape is chunky and stable.

Rooster figures are a country favorite in Thailand and Laos, tied to village mornings and farm life, and a small one fits a kitchen shelf, a windowsill or a desk. Dust it with a dry cloth, keep it out of damp and strong sun, and each carving will vary a little in finish.

Naree selected it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
