Red Lacquer Wooden Ceremonial Pedestal Bowl with Green Cut Glass and Gold Leaf, 12 Inches

This hand-crafted ceremonial bowl is made of wood with a red lacquer finish and is adorned with green cut glass and gold leaf. It is 12 inches across and 6 inches tall. A shallow bowl sits on a short pedestal turned in rounded sections, and bands of gold patterns run around the rim and the base.

Footed bowls and trays like this are used in Buddhist ceremonial events in Thailand and Laos, and they can also serve as home décor on a table, a shelf or a sideboard. Wipe the lacquer with a soft dry cloth, avoid water on the gold leaf and glass, and keep the bowl out of strong sun.
