Carved Wood Sitting Pig, Glossy Brown, 7 Inches Tall

This pig is carved from a single piece of wood and sits upright at 7 inches tall. The body is a glossy red-brown with the grain showing through, and the ears, snout and hooves are painted black. The face has carved eyes and a gentle expression, and the front legs are straight.

Pigs are part of the twelve-year zodiac cycle in Thai and Lao tradition, and carvers make them in many sizes. The glossy stain brings out the grain, so each piece looks slightly different. It fits on a shelf, a desk or a child's windowsill. Dust it with a soft cloth.

Naree chose it for Uniquely Thai Lao TV.
